Group tours and guides

Pre-booked groups can view the Opening Ceremony from within the Tower of London. This event will ensure your visitors have a unique experience that will be well worth the early start. Other group opportunities include early morning private guided tours of the Crown Jewels, as well as early evening private guided tours with a champagne reception option.

Discover the Tower with one of our audio guides and experience five different tours - choose stories about the Norman invaders and the Medieval Palace. Find out more about imprisonment and execution inside the Tower and be dazzled by the Crown Jewels. Finally, allow our Resident Governor and Chief Yeoman Warder to tell you what it's really like to live inside a Royal Fortress.

International Missions
This enhanced learning offer gives International Students a new way to explore the Tower of
London. Packed with riveting tales to bring the Tower and its many stories alive, the guide will
help students gain a greater understanding of the history of the Fortress and its fascinating
inhabitants – from royals and rogues to ravens! The self-guided trail takes the form of a pack
of cards and is available in English (PDF, 1.2MB), French (PDF, 1.2MB) and German (PDF, 1.2MB). (Please note that the English version has been written for those with a good understanding of the English language.)

This beautifully designed pack will:
• Provide a more purposeful and enjoyable visit for students
• Teach the students facts about the Tower, it’s characters and its different uses throughout its history
• Encourage group discussion and collaboration
• Suit a wide range of interests

Modern Fortress
Explore stories of the modern fortress in two towers overlooking the City. See how the Duke of Wellington transformed the Tower after a devastating fire in 1841 and built a barracks for 1000 soldiers in the heart of the ancient palace. Then discover the Tower's role during the First World War as both military base and site of execution for 11 enemy spies.
