Members do not need to queue at the ticket office, and simply need to show their card at Visitor Information.

Ticket Prices

Children under 5 years old go free. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please be aware prices are subject to change and may vary for special events.

Members of English Heritage, CADW and Manx Heritage can enjoy a visit to the castle for half price in their first year and for free when they renew. Don’t forget to bring your membership cards.

* Proof of eligibility is required. Benefits include, Jobseeker's Allowance (applies to UK residents only and an ES40 form is required); ESA (formerly the Incapacity Benefit); and Universal Credit. The offer does not apply to students.

• Visitors that require the assistance of a carer are asked to pay admission according to their age category. Carers accompanying visitors with disabilities will receive free admission.

• Serving members of the British Armed Forces receive free entry to Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle and Fort George. MOD90 Identification is required on arrival and applies to the cardholder only.
